Ingomar

The Ingomar Dome has all the characteristics of a potentially massive Flathead-style helium discovery, including:

  • Large Scale: Closure of 16,512 acres with P50 Gross Unrisked Prospective Resources of 2.3Bcf
  • Thick sediment: Reservoir sandstones with proven sealing units in multiple horizons
  • Adjacent to major structure: Located on the upthrown side of the deep-seated Sumatra Thrust, which acts as a conduit for helium migration
  • Great Economics: NPV8 of $304m with iCAPEX of only $19m calculated on assumed helium grade of 1.5%
  • Helium Upside: Presence of 2.5% helium within Flathead Formation improves economics
  • Hydrogen: First large-scale hydrogen discovery in the USA. Multiple shows of hydrogen, with 55% gas-in-mud within the Flathead formation.

Clink #1

  • First helium exploration well on the Ingomar Dome structure testing stacked reservoir potential in the Flathead, Charles and Amsden formations
  • Drilled Q3 2024 to an extended Total Depth of 8,550ft
  • Gas sample tested 2.5% helium, demonstrating significant helium potential with the highest helium grade in Montana
  • 55.2% hydrogen in gas sample isolated from drilling mud could represent the first large scale geological hydrogen discovery in the United States.
  • Additional stimulation required to overcome potential mud induced near-wellbore formation damage generate commercial flow rates

Helix is continuing exploration work to unlock the significant potential of Ingomar Dome demonstrated by promising helium and hydrogen indications seen at Clink #1. This will include acidisation testwork of the Charles Formation to overcome near-wellbore formation damage, as well as potential seismic and drilling to re-enter the highly prospective Flathead Formation.
